How much does talent in Madagascar cost? The full calculation
A salary re-invoiced at cost, a published service fee, optional equipment: the cost of talent in Madagascar is simple to calculate, provided you count everything, honestly. Here is the method, line by line.

The short answer
The full monthly cost of talent under employer of record comes down to two lines, plus an option: the talent’s salary, re-invoiced at cost with no margin; the service fee, €350 excl. tax per month per talent, covering recruitment, the local employment contract, payroll, compliance and HR follow-up; and, if you choose it, full workstation equipment at €200 per month. No local entity to create, so no structural or legal set-up costs.
The salary depends on the profile: it is shared with you from the shortlist stage, before any commitment. It is the only variable line in the calculation. This article covers what moves it, what the other collaboration frameworks cost, and how to compare the total with an equivalent position in Europe.

What moves the salary
No magic grid: as everywhere, the salary depends on the role. Four factors weigh the most:
The principle is the same in Madagascar as anywhere else: the role’s market sets the salary. An experienced developer is not paid like an administrative assistant, and a rare profile negotiates. The salary follows Malagasy standards, with a local contract and social protection handled; the exact figure is shared with you profile by profile, from the shortlist stage.

Three frameworks, three cost structures
The total depends on the collaboration framework. All three rest on the same principle: published service fees, remuneration at cost.
Salary at cost + €350 excl. tax service fee per month. Auralink Talent is the legal employer: local contract, payroll, compliance and HR follow-up included, with a single monthly invoice.
Best for: a long-term collaboration, with no local entity.
A fee of 10% of gross annual salary, success-based, invoiced on actual hiring (€2,000 minimum excl. tax). The profile then joins your headcount, under your own set-up.
Best for: a permanent role at the heart of your organisation.
The contributor’s remuneration at cost + €350 excl. tax service fee per month: contracting, centralised invoicing and administrative follow-up.
Best for: occasional expertise, with no contract management on your side.

The fixed figures
The only fixed figures in the calculation are ours, and they are public:
€350 excl. tax / month
service fee per talent, under employer of record as under offshore staffing
10% of gross annual salary
direct recruitment fee, success-based, €2,000 minimum excl. tax
€200 / month
the Auralink Equip equipment pack, optional, maintenance and replacement included
Equipment in the budget
A reliable workstation is part of the cost, and forgetting it costs more than planning it: a properly configured professional computer, a screen, a noise-cancelling headset for meetings, and above all a UPS, because the electricity network is not as stable as Europe’s.
Two options: let the talent equip themselves, checking the set-up before the start, or standardise the workstation with Auralink Equip at €200 per month: equipment supplied and maintained, immediate replacement in case of critical failure. A fixed budget line, rather than unpredictable interruptions.

From need to quote, step by step
To go from estimate to exact figure, the path takes four steps:
“A reliable budget is a calculation you can redo: every line has an amount, a reason to exist, and no asterisk.”

Frequently asked questions
Is the talent’s salary marked up?
No: it is re-invoiced at cost, with no margin, and shared with you from the shortlist stage. The published service fee is Auralink Talent’s only remuneration.
Are there entry fees or hidden costs?
Pricing is public and excludes tax, and a detailed quote is provided before any commitment. Under employer of record, invoicing is monthly and single.
What exactly does the €350 service fee cover?
Recruitment and selection, the local employment contract, payroll and compliance, supported onboarding and ongoing HR follow-up.
And for direct recruitment?
10% of gross annual salary, success-based: the fee is only due on actual hiring, with a replacement guarantee during the trial period and a €2,000 minimum excl. tax.
